The latest job numbers show London’s unemployment rate falling. According to Statistics Canada figures, London’s jobless rate dropped half a percentage point in June, now sitting at 8.2 per cent. It was as high as 9.2 per cent back in April, which was the highest unemployment rate among all larger Canadian cities at the time. The national numbers are trending down as well. Across Canada, unemployment declined a 10th of a per cent on a month-to-month basis, now at 6.5 per cent.
