‘Heart attack’ snow to give way for sunny skies over Easter weekend in Calgary

Be careful shoveling your driveways on Thursday, Calgary — there’s one more batch of “heart attack” snow expected before sunny skies this Easter weekend.

Overnight Wednesday and into Thursday there will be another snow event for the city, with some rain mixed in at times. There’s five to 10 centimetres of the white stuff expected to come down, with the bulk of that snowfall coming between 7 a.m. and 1:30 pm. Thursday.

It will be windy at times, which will reduce visibility.

That weather should clear up for the long weekend. Clouds will clear out Good Friday and it should be mainly sunny on Saturday.

On Easter Sunday, there’s another chance of trace snow of up to one centimetre.
