Frigid temperatures to accompany Calgary’s next snow dump

Old man winter has returned to Calgary before a sunny, warm weekend

The Calgary can expect up to 30 centimetres of snow by Thursday morning as the current system drops heavy, wet snow on the area.

It will be windy at times while the snow comes down, which could reduce visibility.

Temperatures will also be frigid with the latest snowfall, with a wind chill of -17 to start the day. The snow is expected to taper off around the noon hour, and by 4 p.m. we could even see a bit of sunshine.

Temperatures and conditions will start to recover on Friday, but it’s the weekend weather that will make up for the snow we are getting now. Sunshine and temperatures in the teens are expected by Sunday.
