COVID-19 booster shots will be available for eligible Albertans next week. Starting Tuesday, people 80 and older, seniors living in long-term care homes, the immunocompromised and adults 65-79 years old with underlying medical conditions can get a free vaccine. The province says these groups may benefit from receiving two immunizations per year to support stronger and long-lasting protection. Appointments for kids 12 and under can be made at public health clinics. For people over 12, appointments can be made at pharmacies. People not eligible for free shots can still pay to get vaccinated.
