A mandatory evacuation order has been lifted for several communities and residents are being permitted to return to their homes. The following communities are no longer under an evacuation order:

The following communities are still under an evacuation order.

The city says it is still unknown when mandatory evacuation orders will be lifted in other neighbourhoods.

The city is asking all Calgarians to refrain from non-essential travel as many roads, bridges and pathways around the city are closed.

They say full access to the downtown core is not expected to resume until some time next week.

The downtown restricted access zone has been expanded to include 11 Avenue and 12 Avenue between 14 Street on the west all the way to Centre Street on the east due to signal outages.

The water quality in the city remains good and there is no boil water order in place.

The water treatment plants and are going full out so the city is asking people to only use water they absolutely need.

Current projections from Water Services suggest that the water will decrease significantly over the next few days.

Here are a few things you can do to save water:

• Limit showers to five minutes and keep baths shallow.

• Reduce toilet flushing.

• Use washing machines and dishwashers only if necessary and only with full loads.

• Turn off taps when brushing teeth or shaving

• Don’t water your lawns and ensure that sprinklers on timers are turned off.

• Don’t wash your vehicle.

A number of reception centres for evacuees have been set up across the city and officials say the following centres have capacity to accept evacuees:

• Acadia Recreation Complex (240 90 Ave. SE)

• Village Square Leisure Centre (2623 56 St. NE)

• Central Memorial High School (5111 21 St. SW)

• Southland Leisure Centre (2000 Southland Dr. SW)

• St. Francis High School (877 Northmount Dr. NW) Registrations only, no lodging

• Centre Street Church (3900 2 St NE) Registrations only, no lodging

The reception centre at Canada Olympic Park/Winsport will no longer be in service as of 10 a.m. Saturday and evacuees will berelocated to Village Square Leisure Centre.

CEMA says about 1000 people were in the centres as of 7:00 a.m. Saturday.

The Canadian Red Cross has established a phone number to assist Calgarians with connecting to family members who have been displaced at 1-866-696-6484.
