Man dies in hospital after overnight crash along Highway 12

Emergency crews found a 25-year-old man in distress. Live-saving efforts were administered but he later succumbed to his injuries.

A 25-year-old man has died in hospital following an overnight crash on Highway 12 in Tay Township.

The single-vehicle collision happened Wednesday around 2 a.m. between Triple Bay Road and Talbot Street.

Police say a man was found inside the vehicle and officers began life-saving measures. Paramedics arrived shortly after, and together emergency crews continued those efforts.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Highway 12 reopened just after 10 a.m. between Triple Bay Road and Talbot Street.
