Another tornado has been confirmed in Manitoba in June, according to the Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP). The tornado, rated EF1, was spotted at Lake of the Prairies, Man., just south of Roblin, on June 28. The NTP estimated the tornado started at 8:05 p.m. and had a maximum wind speed of 150 kilometres/hour. Damage to trees and buildings at a farm property was observed. The Roblin tornado was the second tornado to hit Manitoba on June 28. An EF3 was spotted near Rossburn, causing significant damage to a home. It is the eighth confirmed tornado to hit Manitoba in June. Previous confirmed tornados include three EF0 tornadoes in Sperling, Manitou and Douglas on June 2; two EF0 tornadoes in Dufrost and Ste. Anne on June 9; and a preliminary EF1 in Winnipeg’s Whyte Ridge neighbourhood on June 29.
