Man dies following collision in Orangeville

A man from Essa is dead following a single vehicle collision in Orangeville on Tuesday.

According to OPP, emergency crews were dispatched to Broadway between Diane Drive and Blind Line just after 3:37 p.m. for reports of a single vehicle collision.

The 44-year-old driver was initially airlifted to a Newmarket-area trauma centre.

Police say his injuries were severe and he was later pronounced deceased.

An investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.

Dufferin OPP are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to reach out to them.
