A pair of fawns are on the road to recovery, Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary says, after each of them had their own bit of adversity to face. The wildlife sanctuary posted a photo of a fawn on social media on Friday. One of the newest temporary residents at Aspen Valley, the sanctuary says the animal is the smallest fawn ever admitted to the facility. According to the post, the animal had been crying for its mother for two days. It was found dehydrated, suffering from hypothermia with an empty stomach. The second fawn, not pictured, had been attacked by a dog, the sanctuary says. Both animals are now receiving the care needed and will ultimately be released back into the wild.
