Missing 61-year-old man found safe: Halifax police

Halifax Regional Police says a man who was reported missing last month has been found safe.

The 61-year-old reportedly left his home on Northwood Terrace in the early hours of Aug. 9.

Photos showed him walking westward on North Street near the Gottingen Street intersection.

Residents and businesses in the north end of Halifax were asked to review their camera footage from that time for images of the man.

Police said the man’s caregivers had concerns for his safety and well-being.

In an update Tuesday morning, police said he had been found safe. They did not release any other details.
