Patient reported missing from Halifax hospital found safe

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says a 24-year-old patient reported missing from a Halifax hospital has been found safe.

Jocelyn Nelson left the hospital on Tuesday and was reported missing when she failed to return.

The health authority said the longer she was without treatment, the greater risk she would be to herself.

The Mental Health Mobile Crisis team and hospital staff worked with police and Nelson’s family to help locate her.

The health authority says Nelson has since been located and returned to the hospital safe and sound.
