When Winnipeggers can start teeing off at city-owned golf courses

Tee time reservations at city-owned golf courses are up and running ahead of this weekend’s official opening.

Polish up your drivers and putters, as City of Winnipeg-owned courses are set to reopen for the season.

The city wrote in a news release that golfers can tee off at its courses starting April 25.

“Starting today, golfers can book tee times for Canoe Club, Crescent Drive, Kildonan Park, and Windsor Park golf courses online or by phoning the pro shops or 311,” the city said.

Attendance at city-owned courses has been on an upswing in recent years.

According to a city report released in November, rounds played on an annual basis have risen 34 per cent between 2020 and 2025.

Last year alone, city-run golf courses hosted 124,433 rounds of golf during the season, which lasted 182 days.

This year, the city is offering special rates on green fees until May 9, so golfers are advised to book their tee times.
