Police in Sussex, N.B., are searching for a driver allegedly involved in a hit-and-run. On May 12 around 7 p.m., RCMP said officers were called for a report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on Church Avenue. According to police, a 61-year-old man was standing outside when a driver struck his foot and did not stop. The driver is said to have continued toward Wards Creek Road. Police said the vehicle is described as an older gold-coloured Toyota sedan, and the driver is described as a young male with short hair. Sussex RCMP is asking anyone who may recognize the vehicle, who was in the area at the time, or who has dash cam footage, to contact police at 506-433-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
