Rain, frost knocks out power to roughly 1,400 customers: Manitoba Hydro

Manitoba Hydro crews are busy responding to a number of scattered outages throughout southern parts of the province.

The Crown corporation said frost and rain around the Russell, Man., area over the weekend has caused widespread outages.

About 1,400 customers are without power on Monday morning, Hydro said.

“Crews are in your communities working as quickly as possible to safely restore power,” Manitoba Hydro wrote on X.

The Crown corporation said it was continuing to work through the largest outages first, noting progress will depend on factors like damage and weather conditions.
