Pan Am Pool temporarily closed after separate medical incidents

Emergency responders were on scene at Pan Am Pool on Tuesday night for two separate medical incidents.

According to the city, Pan Am Pool staff contacted 911 for medical assistance for two separate incidents within hours of each other.

Both happened in the evening.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to the first incident, and no transportation to hospital was needed.

The second medical emergency came at around 7:30 p.m. Once again, WFPS responded, and one patient was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Neither incident was because of a near drowning, officials told CTV News.

Pan Am Pool was temporarily closed to the public during the incidents. It reopened as regularly scheduled on Wednesday morning.
