The Halifax Regional Police found human remains near Old Sambro Road on Wednesday morning. Police say they responded to a report of the human remains in the Long Lake area around 7:55 a.m. The remains have yet to be identified, according to a news release from police. A neighbour told CTV News a body was removed from the lake, but police have yet to confirm that. “The investigation is in the early stages and investigators are working with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s office who will determine the manner and cause of death,” the release reads.
