Manitoba to be hit with wallop of winter weather

Though spring may have technically arrived last week, Manitobans are still dealing with severe winter weather conditions.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a yellow warning – snowfall for several western Manitoba communities on Wednesday morning.

It warns that a developing low pressure system will bring between 15 and 20 centimetres of the snow to the region. The snowfall is expected to start Wednesday morning, continuing throughout the day and overnight.

The weather agency notes it is uncertain which locations will see the heaviest snow accumulation; however, significant snowfall is likely in some areas.

ECCC adds that roads and walkways will be difficult to navigate and recommends preparing for deteriorating travel conditions.
