Kids in the Hall comedian performing Random Acts of Juno

The local organizing committee for this year's Juno Awards is rewarding Winnipeggers in a campaign called Random Acts of Juno.

"Yes, I'll be walking around Winnipeg, giving out Juno awards to people of Winnipeg, just for being people in Winnipeg, because they are good people, and they deserve Juno awards," Kids in the Hall comedian Kevin McDonald says in a promotional video released on YouTube.

The first of the promotional videos McDonald touring around the city, looking for deserving recipients. He doesn't have real Junos, but chocolate replicas.

The videos are intended to generate more buzz for the Juno festivities later this month. The awards ceremony, where the real Junos will be handed out at the MTS Centre, airs on CTV March 30.
