Investigation underway into Hillhurst duplex fire

Firefighters on scene at a duplex fire in northwest Calgary Friday night.

Firefighters responded to a duplex fire in the northwest Friday night.

Flames were coming out of the roof of a three-storey home when firefighters arrived around 6:40 p.m.

They used a ladder truck to reach the roof of the home, in the 1700 block of Sixth Avenue in Hillhurst, and quickly extinguished the fire.

There was no word on any injuries or what caused it.

The investigation continues.
