A local coffee shop chain is bringing two special holiday drinks to support Toy Mountain, by collaborating with 103.1 Virgin Radio’s Ace Burpee Show. Colosimo Coffee Roasters, a coffee shop chain in Winnipeg with four locations, is featuring two holiday-themed beverages – London NOG and Coffifee Latte – inspired from the show’s Snack Chat segment. “So Ace had come up with the idea of the London NOG, which is a play on the London Fog drink. It’s like a hug in a cup, really. It’s an Earl Grey – a black tea steeped with a little bit of sweetening,” Jason Colosimo, owner of the chain, described the drink. “Instead of a typical milk alternative, we’re adding eggnog or oat nog for that kind of concept for a London NOG.” Hazelnut, chocolate and caramel: Coffeefee Latte He said Coffeefee Latte is a “traditional Toffifee candy,” incorporating “hazelnut flavour, chocolate, a little bit of caramel drizzle, steamed milk with espresso.” “They were speaking over the past week or so about different holiday drinks and they kind of created some of these ideas,” said Colosimo. “And they said, ‘Can this work?’ and we jumped on board, said ‘Of course, let’s figure it out.’ “They gave us the concept, we created the final product and it’s been a hit.” Portion of the proceeds will go to the Toy Mountain 2025, Colosimo told CTV News. “We’re just excited to be a part of anything to do that we can give back to the community, to support coffee community – it was hand-in-hand.” London NOG and Coffeefee Latte will be available at the chain’s locations from Saturday until Dec. 20.
