Saint John Police Force has arrested a man involved in a break-and-enter at a restaurant on Saturday. Police say they were called to the restaurant on Rothesay Avenue shortly after 2 a.m., after the business alarm was activated. According to a news release, police arrived on scene to find the 46-year-old suspect inside the restaurant, who tried to flee from officers. “He failed to follow commands while armed with a weapon. As a result, a taser was successfully deployed, and the suspect was arrested for break and enter as well as breach of a court order,” the release said. The man will remain in custody until his court appearance Saturday. For more New Brunswick news, visit our dedicated provincial page.
