‘Those Who Served’: Windsor’s Second World War Veterans remembered in their own words

The Windsor Public Library has a new podcast featuring the voices of some local veterans.

Called ‘Those Who Served’, the podcast is the latest episode in WPL’s Stories of Windsor series.

The hour-long podcast weaves together interviews recorded in 1999 with Windsor-Essex residents who either served in World War II or survived it.

It is hosted by three WPL staff members, who each chose one interview to highlight out of the 51 interviews conducted.

In addition to the podcast, all audio recordings and transcripts are available for community members to listen to and examine at the Local History Branch.
