The City of Windsor is providing a road closure update for Intersection Road and Banwell Road in the east end of the city. Intersection Road will remain closed to all traffic east of Banwell Road. The work is ongoing until Friday, Sept. 25, 2026 (weather permitting). Access at the intersection of Intersection Road and Banwell Road, including access to the NextStar battery plant, will remain closed to accommodate watermain and storm sewer installation, as well as road reconstruction. E.C. Row Expressway, Lesperance Road, and Manning Road will remain open. Access from the east to Intersection Road will be open for local traffic only. Detour signage will be in place along Banwell Road/County Road 43, E.C. Row Expressway, Lesperance Road, Baseline Road and 12th Concession Road. GIP Paving Inc. is doing the work.
