Minivan rams into Windsor business in attempted break-and-enter: WPS

An attempted break-and-enter is currently under investigation, where Windsor police said a minivan rammed into a business.

Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, police were called to the incident in the 3500 block of Walker Road.

Surveillance footage showed a minivan crashing into the front of the building. Officers said two suspects who were dressed in black got out of the vehicle, before getting back in and ramming the store multiple more times.

The ramming attempts failed, leading to the suspects leaving the scene, northbound on Walker Road. Extensive damage was done to the building.

The Windsor Police Service said the vehicle is described as an older-model silver or grey Chrysler minivan with a red driver-side door, and has a sunroof. There could be rear-end damage.

Businesses and residents who live near the incident is asked to check surveillance and dash cam footage from the early morning hours of Sept. 6 for any signs of the vehicle or suspects.
