Manitoba RCMP officers have made two arrests and are continuing to search for a third suspect following a targeted home invasion on Mathias Colomb Cree Nation last week. Officers were first called to the incident at a home on Ballantyne Drive around 11 p.m. on Friday. When Mounties got to the scene, they were told three male suspects – armed with guns – allegedly forced their way into the home. The suspects fled the scene before RCMP arrived. No one was physically hurt during the invasion. After receiving descriptions of the suspects, officers began patrols and made two arrests. Two males – ages 16 and 17 – are facing numerous charges including using a firearm in the commission of an offence – while committing an offence and unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon. A third suspect, 23-year-old Creedan Bighetty, is wanted on a number of charges. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call RCMP 204-553-2342 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Police said the incident was targeted and there is no threat to the community. The investigation continues.
