Windsor police are looking for information after a report was received about suspicious people in west Windsor. Around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, an unknown man and woman reportedly went to a home in the 2400 block of Rankin Avenue to inquire about renting it. Police said the home was not listed as a potential rental. The elderly woman let the two into her house for coffee. During that, officers said a neighbour scared the parties, leading them to quickly leave. The woman didn’t think anything was stolen. The first suspect is described as a white woman with a heavier build, green eyes, and blonde hair. The second suspect is a white man with a heavier build. They left the scene in a blue Ford Edge, which had no front license plate. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Property Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350. Anonymous reports can also be called into Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 or online. The Windsor Police Service is reminding the public to never let strangers into your homes. If someone arrives at your property under suspicious circumstances, report the incident to police.
