Windsor police arrested two men and seized a quantity of drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, from a stolen vehicle after responding to a report of unresponsive men on Ouellette Avenue. Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on May 3, officers were called to the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue after a report that two men inside a vehicle appeared to be unresponsive. When officers arrived, they confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day. Police say they found two men slumped over in the driver and passenger seats. Officers reported that drug paraphernalia and suspected fentanyl were visible inside the vehicle. Officers woke both individuals and safely removed them from the vehicle. The driver was arrested without incident. During a search of the driver, officers found multiple suspected drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia and a digital scale. More suspected fentanyl was later located on the passenger, and he was subsequently arrested. The keys were in the ignition, but the vehicle had been parked for an extended period, and the battery had died, leaving it inoperable. The vehicle was recovered and towed. A 49-year-old man and a 38-year-old man have each been charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. The 49-year-old is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Windsor Police Service.
