Active investigation on Alexandra Avenue in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officers are telling the public about an increased police presence on Alexandra Avenue in Chatham due to an ongoing investigation.

Residents and motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice.

Police say no further information will be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

Officers say there is no threat to the public.
