A Windsor police traffic blitz has led to 181 tickets issued over the past two days. Members of the Traffic Enforcement Unit conducted proactive patrols throughout the city, resulting in 181 enforcement actions. Offences included speeding, cellphone-related violations, driving while suspended, unauthorized use of licence plates, driving without insurance, and other traffic-related infractions. Drivers are reminded that penalties for driving without insurance start at $5,000 for a first offence. Additional consequences may include licence suspension, vehicle impoundment, and significantly higher insurance premiums.
