The Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs) are taking place in Saskatoon from Sept. 16 to Sept. 19, with plenty of festivities leading up to the event. Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning to attend the awards, how to buy tickets, and where to watch. Ahead of the event, the CCMA Legends Tour, featuring Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Jason McCoy, Charlie Major, and Michelle Wright, kicked off on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Living Sky Casino in Swift Current to a sold-out crowd. The tour continues on Friday at Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton, Saturday at Gold Horse Casino in Lloydminster and Monday at Dakota Dunes Casino in Whitecap, all to sold-out crowds. Wednesday On Wednesday, Sept. 16, a CCMA Songwriters Unplugged series kicks off from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Capitol Music Club located at 244 1st Ave. N. The series is meant to shine a spotlight on songwriting, celebrating the craft of original songs. The event will introduce attendees to emerging talent and familiar voices, with performances by Noah Derksen, Parker Graye, Brittany Kennell, Brock Phillips, Taylor-Rae, Shantaia, Catie St. Germain and TANAEYA. Tickets are available here. The SiriusXM Top of the Country Finale Concert will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Coors Event Centre at 241 Second Ave S. The event will feature performances from the finalists of the Top of the Country competition, including Blue Ridge Band, Morgan Griffiths and Shawnee Kish. The finalists will compete for the title and a $25,000 grand prize. There will also be a headlining performance by Jade Eagleson with special guest SACHA. Thursday The CCMA Songwriters Unplugged series continues on Thursday, Sept. 17 at the Capitol Music Club from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., featuring performances by Sully Burrows, Andrew Hyatt, Kyle McKearney, Madeline Merlo, Sacha, Tebey, Tim Neufeld of Tim and the Glory Boys and Adam Wendler. The CCMA Legends Show will take place at the Sid Buckwold Theatre (in TCU Place) at 35 22 St. E from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Featuring performances by Tenille Arts, the Hunter Brothers, Patricia Conroy, George Fox, Brett Kissel, Kalsey Kulyk, Jason McCoy and Michelle Wright, the event is meant to bring together chart-topping stars and rising talent for performances that honour the legacy and future of the genre. Tickets for that show are available here. From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., an event called CCMA House will take place at the Coors Event Centre. According to the CCMA website, more details, including ticket information, will come soon. Friday The CCMA Songwriters Unplugged series continues from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Capitol Music Club. Dean Brody, John Morgan, Tenille Townes and Parker Welling will perform. Tickets are available here. Saturday The 2026 CCMA Awards, now in their 44th year, will take place at SaskTel Centre at 3515 Thatcher Ave. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. CST. The awards honour some of the biggest names in country music and rising stars and will feature performances by Tenille Arts, Dean Brody, Hunter Brothers, James Barker Band, Kalsey Kulyk, Jess Moskaluke, The Reklaws and Owen Riegling.
