Police seek witnesses after arson, shooting in Abbotsford, B.C.

Police are investigating after two vehicles were set alight and a house was shot at in Abbotsford, B.C., in the early hours of Monday morning.

Officers were called to the 2700 block of Eagle Peak Drive at around 4:30 a.m., and arrived to find two vehicles, parked in front of a home, “engulfed in flames,” the Abbotsford Police Department said in a statement.

The home had also been struck by gunfire, police said.

The occupants of the home, who were asleep inside at the time, were not injured, said police. A motive is still to be determined.

An investigation has been launched by the AbbyPD’s Major Crime Unit and police are calling on the public to assist.

Anyone who was in the area of Eagle Peak Drive between 4 and 4:45 a.m., and witnessed suspicious activity or captured dash-cam video is asked to contact police at 604-859-5225 and quote file number 2025-39893.
