Police seek ‘person of interest’ in New Westminster stabbing

The New Westminster Police Department shared these two images of a "person of interest" in a Sept. 30, 2025 stabbing.

Police are asking the public to help identify a “person of interest” as they continue to investigate a stabbing in New Westminster.

On Sept. 30, first responders were called to the scene downtown near Columbia and 6th streets around 1 a.m.

“In this investigation, the victim did not know his assailant, and he suffered several stab wounds,” the New Westminster Police Department said in a statement Thursday.

Investigators have gathered CCTV images they say show “the person believed to be a person of interest,” the statement continued, asking the public to “take a close look.”
