Forest City to see below seasonal temperatures Sunday, Monday

Hopefully you haven’t put away your winter coats just yet, as temperatures will drop well below seasonal Sunday and Monday, with overnight temperatures below freezing.

According to Environment Canada, Sunday’s high will reach 6 C, with possible rain showers or flurries and sustained winds of 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h.

Things will be chilly overnight, with temperatures expected to drop – 2 C, feeling like – 7 with the wind chill. Rain showers or flurries will end Sunday evening, with mainly cloudy skies and a 70 per cent chance of flurries. It will still be windy, with gusts of up to 50 km/h.

Looking ahead to the start of the workweek, the cool air will continue to blanket the London region with a daytime high of 2 C, feeling like – 8 in the morning with the wind chill. It will be cloudy, with a 70 per cent chance of flurries in the morning and wind gusts of up to 40 km/h.

Overnight Monday will be cold once again, with clear skies and a low of – 2 C.

Temperatures rebound on Tuesday, with a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers, and a high of 13 C.

Overnight Tuesday there will be cloudy periods with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 6 C.

London’s average daytime high for this time of year is 13 C.
