1 dead after shooting in Brampton

One person is dead after a shooting in Brampton on Thursday night.

It happened in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Crown Victoria Drive, east of Creditview Road. Police say the call came in shortly after 7:10 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located a victim who was later pronounced dead, police say.

The suspect or suspects have fled the area, police say. No suspect information has been released.

Police say they have a heavy presence in the area as they investigate the shooting.
