Pedestrian crossing road in Mississauga hit by vehicle

A pedestrian was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition after being struck by a vehicle on Lake Shore in Mississauga.

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the road in Mississauga on Friday night.

Peel police said it happened in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Hurontario Street.

Peel paramedics told CTV News that the pedestrian sustained serious injuries but was in stable condition.

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
