Subway service suspended on portion of Line 2 for nearly 3 hours amid multiple issues

Subway service on a stretch of Line 2 has resumed following a brake problem and signal-related issues that resulted in a lengthy closure on Thursday.

The issue was first reported at around 9:30 a.m. and full service did not resume until nearly three hours later at 12:30 p.m.

Shuttle buses ran between Broadview and Victoria Park stations due to the problem.

Crowds of customers were seen trying to board shuttle buses near Danforth and Broadview avenues on Thursday morning.
