An ION train was pushed off the tracks Tuesday morning on King Street West in Kitchener. According to the Region of Waterloo, the LRT hit a passenger truck at Agnes Street around 11 a.m. The impact forced the train far off the tracks. At first, Waterloo Regional Police indicated minor injuries had been reported. In an update hours later, they said no one was hurt. “Service is not running between Willis Way/Waterloo Public Square Station and Kitchener Market Station,” the region said in an email to CTV News. “Replacement buses are running.” Service was restored on Tuesday evening. They also warned riders that the collision could impact travel between Kitchener and Waterloo. Police said a 41-year-old man was charged with careless driving.
