One person injured in Brampton stabbing

One person is in stable condition after a stabbing in Brampton. Police say no suspect information is available as the investigation continues.

Peel police are releasing more details about a stabbing in Brampton on Thursday night.

At around 8 p.m., the victim was walking along Forsythia Road, near Queen Street East and Torbram Road, when he was approached by a stranger who demanded his phone.

An altercation took place and the suspect fled the area with the victim’s phone. During the interaction, the victim sustained injuries from what police are calling “an edged weapon”.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have yet to release any details about the suspect.
