A southwestern Ontario farm has unveiled what it says is Canada’s first goat tower. The 28-foot tower, located at Udderly Ridiculous Farm Life in Blandford-Blenheim, launched May 2 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It is one of only seven known goat towers worldwide, according to a farm spokesperson. It is also the first to feature a large hand-painted mural, created by Ontario artist Sacha Taylor. Farm owner Cheryl Haskett welcomed invited guests, including local officials, tourism partners and media, to mark the opening. The tower is part of the farm’s new “Tower of Goats Discovery Trail,” a self-guided experience that includes interactive stops, Indigenous-inspired gardens and educational displays. The project has been under construction through the spring, with farm employees noting weather-related delays leading up to the launch. Saturday’s event included remarks from dignitaries, a certificate presentation by Mayor Mark Peters and the release of goats around the tower, followed by a preview of the trail. Employees say the attraction is expected to draw attention to Ontario tourism and provide a unique, family-friendly destination.
