An e-scooter rider has died following a collision in the Port Lands on Wednesday night. Emergency crews were called to the area of Leslie Street and Unwin Avenue, near Tommy Thompson Park, at 7:42 p.m. for the collision between a vehicle and an e-scooter. Toronto police said the male scooter rider was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police say. The circumstances that led to the collision are not immediately known. The intersection is closed for the investigation.
