An 11-year-old boy is seriously injured after losing control of his electric scooter and crashing into a parked van, Toronto police say. It happened shortly before 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, in the area of Dynevor Road and Rowan Avenue. Police said the boy was heading northbound on Dynevor Road at the time. The circumstances surrounding the collision are unclear, but officials said he was brought to hospital. In a news release issued Sunday, police said a silver Dodge Ram pick-up truck was seen driving in the area at the time of the collision. Investigators are looking to speak to the driver, and are currently looking for the owner of the parked silver van. Police are asking anyone with information or footage of the area at the time of the collision to contact them, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
