Alex Arsenych

Alex Arsenych rejoined CTV News Toronto in August 2024 as a multi-platform writer. She first joined the Toronto desk in September 2022 and spent a few months in 2024 as a freelance journalist for the national team. She was part of the team nominated for an RTDNA Breaking News (Large Market) award for the Rainbow Bridge explosion in 2024. Her work has also appeared in Narcity Canada, NOW Magazine, Much and MTV Canada. As a generalist, Alex has covered a variety of topics, including crime, housing, travel, health care and LGBTQ2S+ issues. In 2020, she graduated from Humber College with a bachelor of journalism degree, with honours. Alex also has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Toronto with a double major in history and Spanish. She speaks English and conversational Spanish.
