3 people taken to hospital following 2-vehicle collision in North York

Three people are in hospital following a two-vehicle collision in North York on Wednesday night.

Emergency crews responded to the collision shortly after 7:30 p.m. in the area of Don Mills Road and Steeles Avenue East.

Images from the scene show the two cars with heavy damage and debris strewn across the intersection. One car appears to have struck a pole after the initial collision.

Police say the three people taken to the hospital sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
