Woman taken to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Prince Albert

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Prince Albert on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say officers were called to the area of 24th Street West and 10th Avenue West around 1:52 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The roadway was temporarily closed while officers investigated.

Police say a woman had entered the roadway and was then struck by a vehicle. Investigators determined the speed of the vehicle was not a contributing factor.

The woman was taken to Victoria Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Patrol officers and members of the forensic identification section attended the scene.

No charges are expected in connection with the incident, police said.
