Second suspect charged in Saskatoon homicide

Saskatoon police are investigating two separate deaths in the city as homicides.

Police have arrested a second person in connection with an April homicide in Saskatoon.

Police say a 21-year-old woman was arrested at Pinegrove Correctional Centre on June 10, a day after a 27-year-old man was arrested at Saskatoon Correctional Centre.

Police say the woman has been charged with aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

The charges stem from an investigation into the city’s fourth homicide of 2026.

Police were called to the 500 block of Avenue X South at about 3:45 a.m. April 9 for a report of an injured person.

Officers found a 39-year-old man unresponsive. He was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services West, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
