Saskatoon police believe they’ve caught the man who killed Chad Romanski

Police say they’ve charged a man with the murder of Chad Romanski, a 31-year-old Saskatoon man whose remains were found west of the city in June.

Saskatoon’s warrant enforcement unit made the arrest on Tuesday, according to a Saskatoon Police Service news release.

The 30-year-old accused, a man who police have not named yet because he hasn’t made a first court appearance, faces charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, and first-degree murder.

The remains were discovered off Highway 7 on June 4, and forensic investigators shared Romanski’s identity several days later.

The accused is set to make his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
