Mark Drapak, 45, has been charged with voyeurism in connection with an incident at the University of Saskatchewan. In a notice sent to staff and students, the university said the incident happened Thursday morning at a convocation ceremony at Merlis Belsher Place. The university confirmed Drapak is an employee. He has been suspended. Drapak was a former student of Legacy Christian Academy and one of the plaintiffs in a $25 million class-action lawsuit that alleged years of abuse at the school and its affiliate church. Police said multiple reports were made about a man taking “inappropriate photographs of women without their consent.” When police arrived, officers with the university’s Protective Services had Drapak detained. “We have zero tolerance for this behaviour and will work with the Saskatoon Police Service on this incident,” the university said in its emailed memo. Drapak is expected to appear at Saskatoon Provincial Court on July 6.
