Homicide investigation underway after man dies in central Regina

Regina police and the coroner are investigating after a man was found dead early Sunday on the 3100 block of 5th Avenue.

A homicide investigation is now underway after a man was found dead in North Central Regina.

The operation was previously classified as a death investigation. Regina police confirmed the investigation was upgraded to a homicide just after 2 p.m. Monday.

Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of 5th Avenue at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Monday after an injured man was reported in the area.

Officers found the man and attempted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. The victim was declared dead at the scene by EMS.

He has been identified as 36-year-old Myles Anderson of Regina.

Officers secured the area and requested help from service’s major crime and forensic identification units.
