Winter hangs on in Ottawa with more snow in the weekend forecast

There’s under a week to go until springtime, but winter seems to be hanging on in the capital, as the forecast predicts more snow in Ottawa this weekend.

According to Environment Canada’s weather forecast, Ottawa will experience periods of snow throughout Saturday, and temperatures will reach a high of -1 C.

Overnight, the temperature will shoot down to a low of -14 C and the forecast predicts a 40 per cent chance of flurries through the evening.

On Sunday, expect more periods of snow with a temperature high of -2 C.

Monday, temperatures will jump all the way up to 12 C, but rain is also expected.

Tuesday, the forecast calls for a low of -6 C.
