The summer is winding down, but things are heating up at the movies. This one brings a lot. It’s number nine in the (Conjuring) universe, so you gotta see how it wraps up for Ed and Lorraine. It will also make you afraid of mirrors,” Mr. Hollywood says. The film stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy. It is directed by Michael Chaves. Twinless (Rated R) “Something different. I really enjoyed this. You’ve got this guy who lost his twin brother, and he goes to this support group for people who’ve lost their twins. He has this friendship that blossoms but there’s more to this move than meets the eye. I’m going to tiptoe around the spoilers, and wouldn’t you believe it’s also a dark comedy? Yes, you actually will be laughing out loud, but at times you might shed a few tears,” says Mr. Hollywood. The film stars Dylan O’Brien, Lauren Graham, and James Sweeney, who also directed, wrote, and produced the film. Highest 2 Lowest (Rated R) “It’s streaming on Apple TV+, that’s where you’re going to find this, and it’s this kind of reinterpretation of this 1963 Japanese film, High and Low, and what Spike Lee has done here is he’s added this kind of soulfulness. It’s set in modern day New York City and, by the way, it’s a love letter to New York. You’ve got Denzel (Washington) who’s trying to navigate this ransom plot that involves his driver. Spike Lee, he doesn’t make bad movies. This one’s got a lot of swagger,” Mr. Hollywood says. The film stars Denzel Washington, Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera and ASAP Rocky. It is directed by Spike Lee.
